Kodukkapuli is known as Madras thorn or even Manila Tamarind. It’s called ‘Madras thorn’ but it’s not native to Madras, Kodukkapuli is also packed with nutritional value.
Season: January to April of every year
It constitutes vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, vitamin B1 which is important for nerve and brain functioning, helps convert energy from glucose, and is a good source of vitamin B2 which is important for healthy skin, hair, and nails.
